2018 End of Year Plans: Play Old Games

Thankfully, for me anyway, the releases have stopped and now its time to work through some back log games. 2018 has been an incredible year for games and I’ve played a majority of the major releases, that I can think of.

I’m going to spend some time playing older games. I have spent a ton of time in the games based off real worlds, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Assassins’s Creed Odyssey, and Red Dead Redemption 2, so now I’m going to try and focus on more fantasy/sci-fi based games. I should probably play Persona 5…but that’s 100 hours and that’s a huge commitment. I’m leaning towards FINALLY playing Rogue Galaxy. It’s been on my radar for a long time and it feels like it fits the sci-fi fantasy bill pretty well.

That is of course between FFXIV and PUBG. I’m working on getting all of my classes on FFXIV leveled up and grinding away on PUBG. PUBG is still pretty broken but its the only game where a big group of my friends still play, so its fun.

Site Update:

I want to get some new art and icons for the website up before the end of the year. I tend to get bored of the same thing over and over and might be working on some new layouts. I will hopefully land on something new before the end of the year to mix things up.

I’m going to start working on my “game of the year” lists and shout-outs as well so that everything is prepared for the end of the year. I’ve been tracking my list all year and know how everything will run down but I want to make sure to give time to really think about the important/best games this year.

After that I’ll be working on games I’m looking forward to in 2019. The year starts strong, just like 2018, and I’m excited for what’s to come.

I still can’t decide how I’m feeling towards Kingdom Hearts 3. I feel like I’ve missed so much because of the games being on a wide variety of systems, we will see.

Anthem is the first game I’m looking forward to. Only three more months, ish.

Alright, that’s it for now.

Thanks for reading.
