Games I’ll Play in 2019: Maybe Part 2

Alright so here’s the second part of the list of games I’ll think about playing in 2019. I’ll likely combine the list after it’s complete, but I find it easier to manage and write in parts. Definitely let me know what game’s your thinking about playing or if you think I missed a game you’ll like. This list encompasses April – May 2019.

April

Days Gone from Sony’s Bend Studio

Release Date: April 26

Will I buy? Maybe…but likely not.

I am so uncertain about this game. I have complete faith in Sony’s development teams, but the last game Sony Bend worked on was Uncharted: Golden Abyss that came out in 2011. It’s been almost 8 full years since that game released so they’ve only been working Days Gone for that entire time. That’s incredibly long, normally, to work on a singular game and to move to an entirely different platform in the PS4. Truthfully, I’m not a huge fan of the zombie genre and I don’t think this game looks incredible. Like I said earlier, I trust Sony as I’m rarely let down by there games. I’ll look to see how this game reviews and then maybe take a peek myself.

May

Rage 2 from id Software

Release Date: May 14

Will I buy? Maybe.

I was sort-of aware of the original Rage and one of my friends is really looking forward to it so I can’t help but be intrigued. I enjoy single-player shooter games and Rage 2 seems like it has a ton of character. There isn’t a ton coming out around that time so I think there may just be a big enough gap between major games in order to entice me into playing. I’m not sold 100%, but I have a healthy curiosity.

There are a ton of games coming out that don’t have release dates so I’m not going to include them on this list. I’ll take about them in another post on Monday, January 14. For now, I’m going to actually jump into Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition.

Did I miss any games in the first 6 months of the year. I know February is stacked, I just can’t be bothered with anything other than Anthem that month. Here’s to not being let down.

Thanks for reading.
