Assassin’s Creed 2: Ezio Collection Review

I’m playing the Ezio Collection on PS4 because I haven’t been enamored with any of the new releases so far this year. The only game I was super excited for in the early part of the year was Anthem and we all know how that turned out. I didn’t vibe with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice when I saw more of the gameplay nor did I want to get involved with Days Gone early. So, rather than play a game I was unsure about I dove into a game I knew I loved in the form of Assassin’s Creed 2. For the most part, it’s as great as I recall but it also looks way worse than what I thought. Even with the remaster the game looks like how I remember PS2 games looking, which isn’t accurate. Just how I feel.

Anyway, let’s get into the review. I am going to break my norm and have spoilers in the review. I feel like spoilers are fine with a game this old.

TL,DR: At the end, as per usual.

AGAIN, SPOILERS INCOMING.

Trusting Ubisoft

Yes, I’m aware of the many memes about Ubisoft as a publisher/developer and doing the same thing over and over with Assassin’s Creed or releasing games with issues at launch. But, I think they’ve come along way in their approach to design and respect of fans. I am at the point where I trust spending money on Ubisoft games because they all end up good eventually.

I think that change starts a few years ago with a few different games and fending off a takeover from an outside company.

Top 5 Games of 2018: That aren’t God of War

Alright, so as I mentioned before, God of War was my favorite game of 2018. I think it might be fairly high on my favorite games of all-time list, but only after giving it more time to think about it. Besides God of War, here are my favorite games of 2018. I’ve reviewed each of the games on this list so I don’t think I’ll need to elaborate too much of them. I’m going to list in order of least favorite to most favorite out of these and number from six to two, since God of War sits at number 1.

TL,DR: At the end, as per usual. No spoilers.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Review

I am a long-time fan of the Assassins’ Creed series. I didn’t play Rogue, Syndicate, or Unity for some reason but I’ve played and enjoyed every other major console release. I love the history and the fun alterations that Ubisoft makes to our living world. Assassins’ Creed Odyssey represents the where the series can go and the capabilities of the Ubisoft Quebec.

I’m excited to see where they go next, but for now here’s my review for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

NO SPOILERS.

TL,DR: At the end, as per usual.
